Ford ASSET instructor Mark Berggren recently achieved Senior Master Certification with Ford Motor Company. Overall, he’s completed more than 300 courses with Ford Motor Company and traveled to multiple cities to take them.

“Receiving training/shadowing directly from an instructor at a Ford Training Center has helped me be a better instructor by giving me the best and most up to date training available on Ford Motor Company’s vehicles,” Berggren said. “I have learned valuable methods for teaching, in addition to providing the most up-to-date information and passing on to our students.”

Berggren started teaching at SCC’s Milford Campus in January 2019. A native of Stromsburg, he graduated from SCC in 2001 from the Diesel Technology-Truck program. For the past 17 years, he’s worked in the auto industry.

“I started as a service technician and worked my way to becoming a service manager at the largest volume Ford dealership in the nation,” he explained. “We averaged 7,000 vehicles a month at the Apple Ford Lincoln in Apple Valley, Minnesota.” 

Mark, his wife and two children moved back to Nebraska to be closer to family. His wife, Amy, is a nurse practitioner at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha. His brother and father also graduated from SCC.
